have you combined a lot of your dreads? it seems like there used to be more...also, I kind of like the shaggy. Of course I'm kind of partial to the shaggy metal look...

Oh they look so long and gorgeous! (I've been neglecting my roots for a while, so I guess I find it a little refreshing to see your hair with dark roots like this as mine are now.)

i like dark roots with punk colors. natural colors look like ass with roots, but red this bright? i prefer it.

Yeah. I seem to like, too. Gives an added depth or something. A bit of shadow to frame the bright. I'm kind of a dark person, so on some level, it feels almost more honest for me to have the darker roots. When I was all bright I felt a little bit like I was lying by omission.
