I used a disposable camera, so the pictures aren't the best quality. I didn't want to take my digital to the beach... with the sand and the water and all... yeah.
This is where I live - St. Pete Beach, Florida. I would spend every single day of my life out here if school and work didn't interfere.
This picture makes me feel peaceful.
My favorite thing in the whole world, the ocean! Also wonderful for dreads :)
Having feet is SO last year...
This is my friend Kaila. Her hair is naturally that blonde, and I think she would have the most amazing blonde dreads EVER. But she's too afraid to take the plunge. Isn't it funny how when you have (or have had) dreads, you suddenly find yourself analyzing everyone else's dread potential? I walk around all the time saying to myself "oooh he has perfect hair for dreads..."
Letting my dreadies dry in the sun.
This is my friend Ryan. He was my first boyfriend ever (in 5th grade). We were after school patrols together and I'm pretty sure it was true love... :) Although the glorious days of 5th grade are long gone, we are still very good friends.
Ryan, Kaila and I had a beautiful time. We wanted to take pictures of the sunset to share with you all, but the rain clouds decided it wasn't meant to be :(
Oh, here is a closer picture of my tattoo, inspired by my favorite Bjork song:
And here's my dreadies after being soaked in salt water and sun all day long. (Note to self: clean mirror before taking pictures.) My curly hair is fighting so hard to come out...
And lastly, today is the first time that I've been able to fit my dreads in a little ponytail. The ponytail looked so funny I had to share it with you all. But what's even funnier is how serious my face is... haha what the heck am I even doing...
I also find it interesting how sometimes my hair is brown and sometimes it's red. My hair is naturally brown, but I swear in some of these photos it looks super red. Oh well, red hair is rad :)
And now I must go rest my eyes, they are burning from the salt water.
It's a beautiful burn, know what I mean...
