has anyone ever seen, or more to the point, does anyone know where to get metal beads that go on the tips of yr dreads and sort of come to a point? *hard to describe* i suppose they could be said to look sort of like talons, except straight... thnx.
i got a quick question. im looking for something on ebay, head-wear. its not a tam, its just like a round knitted thing thats open at the top, for dreads. anyone know what im talking about? btw, if anyones looking for tams cheap, i was pleased with selection ive found on ebay. some awesome deals.
i rub the roots in sometimes and it seems the roots start to get thinner than the rest of the dread- is this normal or am i ruining my dreads by "root rubbing" them
hey there people! i just found this community and thought it was cool. i've had dreads for pretty much almost 7 months now. wow, time goes by fast. well, that's really all i wanted to say, hi to everyone.
My favorite way to add volume and life to your dreads after you've slept on them and they're droopy or stuck to the side of your head:
Fill spray bottle with water that has a tiny trace concentration of sea salt and lemon juice (it shouldn't be very salty or sour to the taste). Spray dreads enough so that they're moist everywhere but not soaking wet. Rub head (vigorously!) with a small towel until dry.
I love that feeling of curly, thick, bulging, lion's-mane dreads.
hey, i posted earlier. And I'm doing it. i really am. well, i have to wait for the hair to grow. and so forth..
but i have a question. i know it's vague and pretty unrealistic for an answer..
but my hair is pretty course/dry, is wavy and really thick. how long do you think it'll take for the dreadys to take over? when i was younger I would have to sit for hours as people would uncomb the giant dread in the bottom of my hair (my hair was long and apparently I didn't brush deep enough). This happened more than once in my life. So I KNOW dreads can be undone. and I KNOW my hair dreads easily...
so anyone wanna help
oh and im white. duh. should say that. hahahaha... but its pretty obvious.
okay.. so i havent really touched my dreads in a long time, since i started dreading them, i backcombed some and tehn decided just to let them go, heres how theyre doing so far... im happy about them, they feel better since i just let em go..
