It costs 27 dollars to tour elvises home and grave at graceland.
It costs 12 dollars to tour Bob Marley's Home and grave at Nine Mile.
Besides 15 dollars, the only other major difference is they don't sell a Nine Mile snow globe because it oviously doesn't snow in Jamaca.

Bob Marley died a martyr, Elvis died a junkie.

HEY! [02 Feb 2004|06:00pm]
[ mood | sick ]

Hello to my fellow dreadies!

I've been a member for about 2 months, but this is the first time I've ever posted.

Okay, here's me: I've had dreads for about a month, and I'd post some pics, but I don't have my digi cam or a webhost. But I'll share them with you when I do get both of those in the same room heh.

Anyway, I have a question for you guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out. My dreads are coming together really nicely, but I have one in the front of my head thats just a major pain in the ass. Everytime I was them, it comes unraveled at the root, and it looks terrible. I've put some wax then a rubber band on it, but that makes it stick out, away from my head. I put some thread around it, by the roots, and that helped, but after I took the thread out after a long while, it happened again. I know roots are the last to get dreaded, if tehy ever do at all, and I was just wondering if you guys could give me a tip to fix it.

I've seen some sexay ass dreads up in hurr, keep them coming! And I must say, you guys are the coolest LJ group that I'm in.

Xo, the evil bean

alright holla...

a few questions...

how old are your dreads?

how did you get them? (what method did you use?)

how often do you wash that head of yours?

dying dreads...(how well if at all)does it help tightening?

my mother tells me i look..."un-feminine" and not so "cute/hot" with dreads and its kinda more of a guy thing *to her*...it kinda bothered me...but...i dont know...she ignorant...

do you think this at all?

I'm thinking about taking a few of my dreads and spliting them in half. I have about 29 and I want smaller ones. I just wanted to see if theres any way of going out spliting dreads and if it is a good idea or not. They're going to be a year in april. (i'll be posting pictures soon)

Someone took this picture of me because they thought I looked like a cute three year old ballerina lost in the snow. I think the dreads do a lot to help that image. :D

My dreads are way fuller than they look here.

hi everybody

so ive tried dreading my hair several times
and usually get completely frustrated probably because of a lack of knowledge
and end up chopping off my hair

and now i want to do it the right way :)
or at least a way that will work

so. i have short hair now (right below the ears), very thick, it will knot if i just shampoo and stop conditioning

is this a good idea?
will starting with short hair make it easier maybe more manageable
just putting in some rubber bands and then letting them form?

any ideas! would be love-ER-ly
