Do you have to go to the hairdressers to get dreadlocks?? (any ideas on how much that would cost??)
Or can you do them yourself?
If so.. how?
I'm not very knowledgeable about dreadlocks btw. ^_^
i wanna dye my locks, whats the best brand to use?
any tips on the process?
Alright Everyone. Today is the day all of us dreaded have been waiting for in miami. The 11th Annual Bob Marley Caribbean Festival. This will be my 3rd one, they have all been good. This time I'm going to take a lot of pictures and i'll post em up here tonight when i get back or tomorrow.
i need assistance... i've had my dreads for about 2 years now and they're 6-11 inches long and i have about 30 something. My roots are getting thin. I don't know how to solve this problem. It used to be that just crocheting got me where i need to be. I only used crocheting in order to make sure the roots get dreaded but now the roots are thin and im afraid to crochet. This hasn't happened before. My friend tried tying the loose hair in with string but i don't think that it going to do the trick. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to stop the thinning?
Hey Everbody!! I've been a member here for about a month or so, but never really had a reason to post, until now. Ok,so I dont have dreads as of yet, but I plan on it. This site is great for us people that dont have them but seriously considering it. Anyway, I have a question about head wraps. How do your really go about doing them? I have really long hair(to my butt, if that helps to know). Should I go ahead and tie my hair back in a bun, and then wrap? Or just leave it down and wrap my hair up in the fabric as I wrap? I have a pretty good length of fabric Im using(I sew, so I have TONS) to learn this, but I think It may have to be a tad bit longer. It's a little bit less than a yard. What's the length that's about normal for this? Can anybody help?? I figured since most folks here have dreddies, Im sure some of you do this or have or know someone who has, etc... Ok, I'll stop rambling now.
