Is anyone familiar with dreads fixing methods?

It's okay, it's okay.. I have my head covered in foul-smelling beastie-killing stuff already. Beasties are a pain, but beasties in dreads are a nightmare. Wish me luck.

the sound of them MARCHING ON MY SKULL!!!

2 months today!

It's been two months since I got my dreads! I took a couple of pics at a friend'se house the other day, I'll try to post them.

The time's flown by and they're doing quite nicely...other than my front two. My front right one in particular decided that it had had enough of this dread thing. It all but came undreaded starting just past halfway (4" down the 7" dread)....so I backcombed that section again and it seems to be doing ok....BUT...I've been considering something. Since my front right dread is being retarded, and my front left one isn't that great either (it developed a huge dreadloop about a month ago, so I just pulled it through its own loop once...so it wasn't all twisted, but it got rid of the very loose loop and made it a pretty tight one), should I consider re-backcombing (or possibly rip-and-twist-ing) them? They've got really rectangular sections of scalp, too....sort of 1" wide by 2" long....I was just going to wait a year, then try to split them into two....but if I was going to redo those two, I'd make them into 4 for sure, cuz they're a little flat. Should I just let them do their own thing, or start them over? I'm not sure if it's worth redoing them and having them be 2 months behind the rest...but I'm not too sure how my front right one's gonna hold up. Since I re-backcombed part of my fron right one, it's been letting hairs work their way out of the tip...cuz all those hair that have fallen out over the last 2 months must have been pulled around by the backcombing, so I'm afraid they're all gonna end up coming out and making that one skinnier than the rest. I'm not overly concerned, but I'm just wondering if redoing them would be a good idea.

Any suggestions?

so im really into putting/keeping things in your dread locks that people normally wouldnt keep in their hair. right now i have a big beed, a hemp thingy, a ring my mom made for me with hematite, a beer bottle cap, a rock i sewed into a dread, and a twig. working on pics, i need to borrow someones digy here.

oh yeah what sorts of things do other people like in their sexy dready heads?

SouthPark Me

Toronto Dreds: help a brother out?

I have a problem that I'm hoping somebody can help me solve.

Yesterday, I was given a pair of tickets (front row purples) for tomorrows Leaf game (versus the Bruins, 19:30). However, despite there being two tickets, there is only one of me.

I'll provide: The tickets, my charming and witty self, dredlove
You provide: Beer (one a period or so), interesting and entertaining conversation, style.

I'm not bothered if I already know you, or if you're about to become a new friend.

Anybody interested?
