so because i dont pay attention and dont feel like drudgeing through old posts: when doing a salt water soak do you use warm or cold water? how long do you soak the hair? do you palmroll when dry, or while drying? anything else i need to know?
i get to go home for spring break, and wanted to pretend that im going to beach by salt dunking my hair. it turns out that i am way to poor to actually go anywhere. peace
my boyfriend cut his dreads off, it was very emotional i was cryin and then he did cos i was haha (hope u dont think i'm silly!) and then when he came back upstairs after his sis had cut them i smiled cos it looked good, but its gonna take some getting used to!!!!!
i think his new hair looks lovely and he still looks damn sexy haha. =) i guess i just stupidly felt sad cos we both have dreads and i felt it was a way we related and if he felt that he wanted to cut them it made mine feel really insignificant. i was proper contemplating mine yesterday but i know that if i ever cut them in the forseeable future i would regret it. but at the end of the day its just a hair style and whether we both have dreads or not theres still da love!! =) hahaa.
i have a bead i would really like to put on one of my dreads, but the hole is too small.. i would just try and us a mini drill to make the hole bigger but it's glass.. is there hope?
the bead is a cylindrical shape about three fourths of an inch long, and a diameter of about half an inch. the hole's just itty bitty.
damn. i just realized i don't have any pictures of my first time going red. which i did before the black, and i had blue for awhile before the black too.
I went to have my dreads tightened here in Toronto on the weekend 'cause I was feeling kinda ... loose and shaggy ... and I'm super happy how much tightening them made me feel a bit less self conscious..
I dreaded my hair about 2 months ago. And I am in love love love with being a dreadhead. (Actually I just checked the date and this is my two month dread anniversary- GO ME!)
Anyway, I've always had super frizzy hair. Just recently, my dreads have been getting really frizzy and I'm not digging it quite so much. I mean, it's fine, and dreads are about patience and imperfection, so I can deal, but is there anything to be done about it? Anyone in here with frizzy hair?
I had been hoping that the waxing would help it, but I am thinking about not using the wax anymore (at least on a trial basis). I wash my hair with dread shampoo appx. once a week, and usually do the salt water spray afterwards. I was doing the wax in the middle of the week between washings, but I think I'm going to switch that for an extra salt water spray/palmrolling. Might this help?
