Yay! I am now offically dreaded. I had my friend(who wishes to remain unknown) do i for me. Now she want to kill me. It took all weekend But it was worth it. People have already tried to stop me in the halls and ask what the hell did I do. Wish me luck, it's my first day back at school. I'm still not completly finished though, we have about twelve more to do do.

Ehm...I have a question (again) :)

My dreads are about 1.5 years old and they're doing quite well at the moment. Just like normal hair it grows, but that's the problem. As my hair grows, how am I supposed to dread the new undreaded hair ? Can I backcomb it ? I know the rip & twist method is out of the question 'coz I can't rip my whole dread, can I ? :)
The only thing I can come up with is backcombing it as it grows, and maybe sew some of the loose hairs into the root.
Can you please help me by giving me some tips ?
Thanks in advance :)

sectioning... if you are lacking in assistance...

So... my hair is trying to dread itself. I'm a little concerned because i don't have the time to get out all the knots right now, so i was wondering if any of you sectioned your hair yourself. (and how it came out)
Or perhaps, if you had any advice on how to do so... (maybe I should just keep it under my hat until I have time)

also, how many dreads do you have? I'm hoping for 30-40 (thin)

danke lovely dreadies...
