Fun Hair!

The topknot posted lower made me realize I should share my fun hair things too! I got mine into two pigtails, twisted, and tucked the ends into the elastic, and it stayed! My hair ,when straight, woudn't agree to do ANYTHING like this :)

memorial day action (political)

what would happen if a group of people all over the country decided to hang upside down flags all over the place, and wrote messages on those flags, detailing what upside down flags mean, and why our nation is in distress? what would happen if these flags showed up in every city at the same time? what kind of a statement would that make? how many eyes would that open? if interested, email sublimemindstate@yahoo.com or visit www.subvertical.org

Solid Shampoo

I've gotten the opinion from a few people that solid shampoo tends to be better for dreads because you can pick where it goes (right on the scalp) and liquid soap tends to make the dreads frizzier. I know there's the knotty boy kind, I picked up the Burts Bees baby brand (because I found it and it was cheap) and I think I'm going to try it. Does anyone have suggestions of solid shampoos they like? I can't use plain soap or my scalp will freak out. (I've tried before)

Thanks all!

I recently went to prom in my homemade dress, and wore a headband that matched the underskirt...then while taking pics of me in the dress yesterday, i put my hair up to get it out of the way and found what would have been a totally cooler style to wear to prom. kinda late for that now, but here's picatures to mark my excitement.
