Today I made a spur of the minute purchase of some Manuka anti-dandruf shampoo from the Bodyshop. I'm almost out of teatree soap so I need some new stuff to use soon. Does anyone know anything about this or if it'll do my hair any good? I'm warey of it because I don't really know about it, the girl in the shop said it would be good though, but I'm not 100% sure she knows about dreads...

from the bottle: "made with specially selected natural ingredients, this anti dandruff shampoo contains manuka, tea tree and thyme oils to thoroughly cleanse your hair and scalp leaving your hair flake free and healthy looking with regular use".

Does it sound ok? :-)

I got some hemp soap too...

ponytails

Has anyone found that when they started out their dreads and wore them in a ponytail quite often, that the spot where the rubber band went on was flimsy on every single dread??
I think that's happened to mine. The bottoms and tops are dreading nicely but in between are thin spots, about the same distance from my head on each dread. Could this be from wearing the rubber band right there?

here were my dreads just one week old:)

howwwwww cute!, but now they're brown instead of pink:) And please ignore the guy who show's his ass, it's my ex-boyfriend(but he has wonderfull dreads though), and he's a bit.. well.. just crazy ;)

It was sunny again today, so a good excuse to post some pictures. I tried that new shampoo I mentioned yesterday, I don't think my dreads have ever felt or smelled cleaner, I might have some more loose hairs than normal but I'm not sure if I'm just being paranoid. Still, good smelling dreads so it's ok for now... :-)

Infos for those that want it: approx 11 months old, initially back-combed and waxed but then left pretty much to do their own thing. They're getting pretty solid, except for the loose bits which are taking a while to get accepted... ;)
