I cant seem to find the post, where someone asked the members of this community if they'd like to be part of the background layout. I dont want to be apart of it, old user name = self_addressed I just dont see the point for me to post pictures in here anymore, after a comment telling me i was really ugly, im not feeling any real reason to share my dreads with anyone in here anymore. ah..so yeah, im going to stick around and read peoples entries, keep myself up to date on everyones dreadies but thats about it.
Is Zero unbanned yet? This is not making any sense. I will probably check for a new Dreads community, anyone know a good one? Because there's NO WAY I will post in a comminuty where you can be ban so easily for expressing your opinion.
I've been canoeing/camping/hiking/fishing for three days, and had forgetten all about the "drama" here. I would have hoped some others here would have done the same?
If you want to leave the community out of disagreeance with my actions, that's A-OK. No hard feelings, have an awesome life.
If you're upset at "the turn the community has taken", well, that's probably because you're accustomed to having no moderator at all. Mods make decisions. In a community of this size, it's not always a popular decision. But I do, or at least have, included you all in the major decisions for this place.
If you want to stay in the community whether you agree or not, that's A-OK too. Keep having an awesome life and sharing with us.
Back to posting more photos of your lovely dreads, one and all.
Hello! I've just joined here.... ah wel, i used to be a dread head, and had to bursh 'em all out due to an unfortunate bleaching-turning-dreads-like-shite incident. But roll on two weeks, i shall be getting my hair back to a lovely dreaddy state.
anyway...hello one and all :D
crappy hives, i'm not playing it but why do i hear it?!
So I was chatting with someone a couple weeks ago and she mentioned that she used to have dreads. I asked her if she had to cut them for a job or something, but she said no, she did it out of respect for Rastafarians. I know that dreads are a big part of their culture, but didn't realize that some actually get offended when other people have them. I'm not speaking for all Rastafarians, but apparently some feel that way. I was wondering if any of you guys have come across this? Now I don't want to start another drama post, but if you have any calm, collected insight feel free to comment. Thanks guys! You are such an interesting bunch :)
i know i already posted pics recently, but someone seems to have taken one of the back of my head at my b-day partay this weekend and it fascinates me enough to share it with all of you. it's not everyday i see the back of my own head... ( Collapse )
I'll be your mirror Reflect what you are, in case you don't know I'll be the wind, the rain and the sunset The light on your door to show that you're home When you think the night has seen your mind That inside you're twisted and unkind Let me stand to show that you are blind Please put down your hands 'Cause I see you I find it hard to believe you don't know The beauty that you are But if you don't let me be your eyes A hand in your darkness, so you won't be afraid When you think the night has seen your mind That inside you're twisted and unkind Let me stand to show that you are blind Please put down your hands 'Cause I see you
i'm new here. and i need a lot of advice. i'm planning on getting dreads when i start college in the fall (i'm going to bennington, in vermont, and practically everyone there has them, so it'll limit the crap i planned on recieving if i got them at home.) okay, so, that's how my hair looks.
what's the best method for curly hair that's not at all frizzy but still thick? it doesn't really talk about it in the FAQ.
