I love dreads but I have a little problem. I am in desperate need of a job and since most people hate dreads for the wrong reasons, I was thinking on waiting on putting them back in my hair for bit. Long hair doesn't help either.

Since I might have to end up getting a fast food job, do you think that I should still go ahead and get them? I mean, I dont' want no French Fry smelling dreads.

Also, how long do I have to leave the rubber bands on the ends? Any tips?

dry hair is good smelling hair

My mom got tired of having my hair smell like crap.

She explained to me that bacteria are responsible for the nasty smell our dreadies can exude when wet, and regardless of how clean I kept my hair, as long as it was wet, it would eventually mildew.

Mom doesn't love my hair, but she loves me, so she made me a drying hat that I use with a blow dryer to keep me smelling like a rose.

It used to take me 50 mins of wringing/ hand drying my hair, now it takes 30 mins, and I can watch tv, or browse LJ while it dries.

Mom says she hopes others will use this too, she doesn't like the idea of anybody being smelly. That's just the kind of mom she is.
