Oh, jajaja!

I had a small encounter with dreadlocks when I was just a lad. Three years ago, no less! My hair was long and locked but alas, I sheered the sheep on my head and waved goodbye. I did it myself. It looked ok but it was a job half done.

However! I've decided to get them done again. This time by a professional in the first week in September. I was worried that my supervisor in work might say, 'neigh' but to my delight she said 'Yes, yes, yes!'.

I just wanted to share because needless to say, I'm a little bit excited.

I cannot help but get abit egotystical, and feel naturally pretty on a day as beautiful as this. Something comes over me where I feel as good as the soft grass against my skin and as free as the Collapse )

hurrah for finding a good community...

I'm new, and i've had my dreads for almost a year (it'll be a year come november). I'm in a love hate relationship with my dreadies, as i need a dreadcap to wear, so i can stop wearing a bandana as it flattens out my dreadies at the roots. I don't have any picturs of them lately, but i'll be sure to post them up in a day or 2 when i get my digital camera batteries charged.

Also a question: I was reading about Lemon juice in a few other entries... what exactly does it do? would it be beneficial to use it on my dreadies? and should i wait a while seeing as i just dolloped them with Knotty boy wax about a day ago.

Just some info on the benefits of lemon juice would be nice.
