Soooo, my dreads are about ::does loose math in head:: 7 or 8 months old now. Maybe older. Im not good at math.
I stopped using wax months ago, but was really unhappy with the ends. The wernt locking up and even worse, they were coming undone like you wouldnt believe. I had a good inch and a half of normal hair at the tips.
I finally gave in and put rubber bands in them. I didnt want to. I dont like how it looks, but I found clear ones and it didnt end up looking as bad as I thought it would.
They look a lot better now, Im happier with them etc. There are quite a few in the back that have come out. Its pretty much been that way sinse the first month- but Ive seperated them into the chucks they need to be in and rubber banded them so when we get around to it, we can dread them again.
The end of the story is Im extremely wonderfully happy happy with my hair now thats its not compltely crazy like it was. Oh straight hair, how you mock me.
On another note people at my work have started to complement my hair (I work at starbucks). A lady told me the other day that I was the first white person she'd ever seen with dreadlocks which I thought was weird judging by this community.
But this is good because it means that they're finally recognizable as dreadlocks and not just messy, messy hair.
Pictures! We finally bought a nice digital camera and I love it possibly more than my hair.( Collapse )
yay! Everyones hair is beautiful by the way, I love when I remember to stop by this community and there are pages upon pages of beautiful hair to look through :)
