If you guys are like me, you like to pretty-up your dreads. :)
So, I was walking through a discount store yesterday looking for cheap stuff, cause that's just fun to do. Heh. I came across the "health and beauty" section, and I found some hair ..toys, I guess you could call them. I always wanted one of those little hair braider things, that does it for you. They had them there, really cheap. I kept looking, and I found this little Igea wrap maker. It was only $4.99, they usually sell them for $20 or more on TV. I thought to myself, "What are the chances of this working?" But hell, for $5, I was willing to try. So, I got it home and tried it out. It actually worked! Well! I'm oddly suprised, but I love it now! It worked on one of my medium sized dreads. It comes with three colors of yarn, beads, fasteners, batteries, plus a hair threader. You just thread your hair through the middle of the little machine along with the yarn, turn it on, and move it down your hair (dread). I love this thing! Plus you can refill the spools with whatever yarn, string, or floss that you want, and it can do wraps in 1 to 3 colors. Here's a picture of my first wrap, I didn't do it so tight, but it can make the wraps as tight or loose as you want. This is a nifty little device. Woo!
