*waves*

This is actually my 5th time typing all of this out, for some reason my copy command doesnt work, and neither does trying to post anywhere...

Anyway, this is me, I'm Matt, 23, I live in Leeds(UK).
I've had dreads for about 15 months now.

Not entirely sure what to say to be completely honest...

*waves n smiles*

Matt

[ mood | worried ]

Hello everyone. My dreads are almost two years old [tuesday!] and they got their start with the help of people here. But lately, I've been really concerned. When I play with the ends of them trying to get the bottoms nicely dreaded, large chunks of hair fall out. I'm getting kind of worried, it looks like there's dirty wax all around the pieces that come out, but I haven't used wax since the first two weeks or so of having them. Has this happened to anyone? Is there anything I can do?

could anyone point me in the direction of some vegan dread wax? i'm really eager to turn my curls into dreads, but the only dread wax i've been able to find is beeswax. thanks.

to wrap or not to wrap [15 Nov 2004|07:43pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

hey everyone, got a ? for you...

ive got a few wraps in my dreads now and i have yet to take any of them out... i was wondering if any of you have left wraps in for any length of time, how long, and what was the result when they were removed...

ive heard that the dread would get tighter and smoother under the wrap and ive heard that once its off theres no difference (and a really scary tale of mold growing under it, but those locs werent well kempt anyhow- i think they got them wet too often)

please let me know your experiences with this...

luv you all

Hello, fellow dreadheads.
My locks are just about 3 days old. They are sort of medium sized, and the are pretty messy since they are new. I figure that they will get neater as they get older as long as I take care of them.
I have a few places on my head where it's sort of bald (you can't really see them, but they're under the dreads) because of the ways the dreads have been pulled. Will these go away? Should I rip a couple dreads apart to cover them? I did rip one dread, but the others are pretty firmly started and don't really want to split apart, so I didn't try too hard. Any suggestions? And also- I've read the FAQ, but how soon after I've made my dreads can I use accelerators like lemon juice or saltwater?
Thanks so much- and I will post pictures eventually :)
