i once had an extended sexual fantasy involving mister rogers.

man i was so nervous about my extended family seeing my dreads for the first time this christmas, but they were actually really cool about it. my mom has a really big mouth and she's all like "hey how do you guys like amanda's dreads huh??".. a few of them made weird faces and said something along the lines of "ehhh.. whatever.." but most of them said they liked them and spent the following fifteen minutes poking at them and asking how i did them and do i really wash them and things like that. so i'm really relieved. just thought i'd share since it's been a while since i've posted in here.

i had more to add..
alright so i've been neglecting my dreads lately cause i've just had so much going on and i'm a lazy person. i've kept them up in a ponytail for quite some time now, hardly ever taking them down, and a big chunk of them in the very back of my head are dreading together. i need some tips or assistance or something cause i don't really think i know exactly what to do.. i've been thinking about just brushing them out, but i really don't want to lose them because i love them. but i also do not want my entire hair to become one giant dread. so, besides the fact that i need to pay more attention to them and not keep them together all the time, what should i do? how do i separate a giant dread that should really be about four or five dreads?

(no subject)

i had my first negative encounter with someone about my dreads.

the lady told me they didn't look very nice ... and if i put them there on purpose.

her hair had been dyed about 493853986 times and looked awful. i was at work so i didn't say anything mean, like i should have.

but, i dont care. i love my dreadies.
