long time no see dearies

hallo again!

i haven't been using lj much lately for various reasons, but i thought maybe it was time for an update? i'm in a bit of a funk (not the good kind) about school right now, maybe i've got the winter blues a little...but i decided recently that i'm going to take my next semester (fall 05) off school and travel instead of sitting here like loser starting my third year of university while still having no direction whatsoever. so i AM pumped about that! all i need to do now is make some money :S

i hope you all are making it thru the winter blues fairly smoothly. soon it will be spring time!!! sandal time flower time icecream time!!! and to those of you who live somewhere that winter doesn't come, if you would kindly send me your address and a plane ticket i will be there in a few days. also i hate you. :P

i was looking at old photos recently and decided to share a couple from my straight hair days, just because it seems so long ago and different.

Can someone tell me how they do their wraps?
I've had a couple in the past, but after a few months they'd always come loose.
I'm planning on putting a new one in as soon as I've henna-dyed my locks again.
I know how to attach the threads and all that, I'd just like to know how you lot make yours :)
Any suggestions? (pictures would be helpful)
Merci :)

Quick question.

I want to make REAL dread extensions.

I have two packs of real hair to get me started.

Ive had dreads before...and had them extended (stitching the real dread extensions onto the ends..worked great.)

Redreading my hair soon and want to do the same method.

But I didnt make the dread extensions first time round.
Anyone familiar with this method and willing to give me some pointers? I dont wanna waste too much hair experimenting how to do it.

Any help would be appreciated!
