[05 Aug 2005|12:45am]
I have a question. I work outside in the sun all day and because of that (or atleast I think that's why because it has never been like that until summer time) my hair has become extremely dry and brittle feeling. I tried looking through the memories but didn't see anything that might address this problem. Does anyone know of anything I can put in my hair to try to mosturize it a bit. Oh and the more natural the option...the better. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

yesterday i went to the beach, and the waves were 3 or 4 footers. so i swam out and was wavejumping, and i decided to dive straight into one just as it crested - but it was just the wrong point, because it took me and threw me head over heels about three times, during which i hit and scraped my head on the sand.

i was fine (i jumped up and screamed, laughing, it was awesome) but the moral of the story is, i'm still picking sand out of my dreads everytime i scratch my head. it makes me smile.

Hi! Well I'm gonna get working on my very own set of dreads soon and I've decided to use wax (I know to use very little don't worry!) to protect me from the evil frizzies. Thing is I don't like buying things of the net so I'm currently lookng for a wax that is suitable for dreadlocks that is sold in the UK (or am I from Britain...?). I've been searching on the Boots website but I can't see anything obviously dread suitable...
The type of wax I'm looking for is the sort of stuff that won't wash out isn't it? Any other specifications?
Thankyou, so much, I know that this type of post is a pain the arse!
Right now to get ready for work...-cries-

because it's friday, and there are so many things i'd rather do than work, i'm posting some pictures.

no reason, no special occasion.
i just happened to have them with me.

i desperately need to buy bleach with today's paycheck. (esp since
this picture was taken 2 weeks ago. my roots are craaaaaaaaaaazy.)

shower head! [05 Aug 2005|12:55pm]
[ mood | tickled ]

i bought aussie brand duel personality (root cleanser + tip mender) shampoo and used it the other day. this is the cleanest my dreads have felt in a while!!! if anyones looking for a good / new product to wash their hairs with i would highly recomend this one. not to mention how good it smells =0 )

i always ring out my hair in four sections after i wash it. this time it held long enough to get some silly pictures.

does anyone have any weird washing / drying habbits?

dready update [05 Aug 2005|08:42pm]
I thought it was probably about time for an update.

I posted a while ago about rubbing the ends of my dreads to tighten up the ends. I have to say, it works really well but they are still scruffy so I am in the process of crocheting them, just the ends, the loose hair can work itself our for now.

Soooo, pictures anyone?

a question and some pics!!! [05 Aug 2005|11:44pm]
[ mood | restless ]

ok....so i was in the shower adn i needed to wash my smelly itchy scalp. i had no appropriate shampoo (im at my dads house....they only use 2-in-1 condtioner....wtf?) so I grabbed my stepsister's bath salts and scrubbed my head with those. my head feels refreshed and smells really good and relived of itchies. has anyone else tired this? is it....ok?

and i took some pics!!!
last week at a wedding and then some fresh ones!Collapse )
