It's almost getting to a year.
I think I might just trim my tips soon to help them grow.

Sorry if this doesn't really apply to everyone here...

My parents have informed me that they are making me wear a helmet snowboarding this year, and I'm not sure I'll be able to find one that will fit with my dreads. My head is kind of large as it is, and my dreads just make hats and such hell. I was wondering if any of you guys ski or snowboard and if you've had any luck with specific brands and such. And sorry, but this is the only pic of myself that really shows my dreads. It's the day I met H.I.M. after their concert in Boston last month. It was an awesome concert by the way!

They're about 9 months old there.

I have had my dreads for a little over two months now, I used the backcombing method, but many of them have started to "undread" themselves, as in, they still stick together but they're not knotted together.
What should I do about this?

Happy almost 3 months old!! [03 Dec 2005|07:47pm]

My friends and I tried to be artsy by this brick wall in D'natti, Ohio a few weeks ago and these pictures made everyone laugh. I think you can see my dreads :)

sooo. how 'bout that natural dreading? [03 Dec 2005|07:52pm]
I looked in the memories and there wasn't really a good one on how to dread "naturally"

I wasn't going to do it that way, but after only one or two days of not washing or brushing (not on purpose, just how it happened) my hair has already knotted up considerably. I'm thinking maybe this is the way to go for my hair, since it seems to do well on it's own.

So I'm wondering. how have you all approached this method? did you shampoo? did you not shampoo? did you separate sections or did it order itself without them?'

Also, my hair is past the middle of my back. Would it be a bad idea to start naturally dreading them when they're so long?

thanks everyone!

aaaaand a couple pics.

oooh! hair!Collapse )

Second Thoughts [03 Dec 2005|08:41pm]
So, I've said this many times before, but I have very, very thin/fine hair,

and I'm a little ocd about my clockwise-rubbing (which i have been a proponent of for a long time),

and so I hardly have any loose hairs at all.

I don't think this wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have such thin hair,

but what happens is that inbetween my dreads, it appears that I have bald spots...

I don't think i can stop clockwise rubbing, it's too much of a habit, and i don't know what to do....

bald spots.....Collapse )
