Have any of you experienced phantom feelings of dreads, lots of mushie sad miss-ish thoughts, and/or ITCHIES?! after cutting them off? I'm so confused!!! Where my eldest dreads were, it feels sooooo IRRITATED! I even put lotion on my head to see if that would help.... NOT REALLY!

ANY ADVICE GUYS?
THANKS!

hello dear knotty lovers.

I have posted, commented, and stalked you all before.....but here is my very first picture-post, thanks to a camera I ganked from the art department for a semester.

My dreads are about seven months old. I've decided that you really can't understand how amazing the slow transformation of your hair is until you experience it first-hand. I remember when, in Mexico, I felt as though they were falling apart, barely held together by sweat & sand.

Now some of them stand straight up, Lish-style.
And they are most definatly, absolutely, dreadlocks. Even the kind of dreadlocks I wished I had, from the first time I dreaded my hair (disastrously) three years ago.

and thats about it, folks. I'm so proud of myself for finally navigating the maze of lj-cuts and image hosting.

and now for a question:
I may be just silly, but how exactly does one get their hair to stay up with chopsticks? I've tried and failed many a time. I love the way my hair looks when I hold the back up with my hands, but every time I rock the 'sticks they just fall out.

thanks, kids, and happy cold weather to you.
