Ever since I met a girl last year who had dreads, I've been in awe of how gorgeous they are. Everytime I look through the pictures here, and at everyone's hair, my desire to get dreads greatly increases.

However, there is a bit of a problem. My boyfriend is totally against them! (on me)

I really wish he could be more open-minded about this. Him and I have talked about it loads of times, and it seems the only reason he doesn't want me to get them is so he can run his fingers through my hair.

Anyone else have a situation like this, or has overcome a situation like this? Is there anyway I could convince him? Should I just do it anyway? I've always been one to believe in doing what I want to my body, because it is mine, but I do not want to upset him by doing something behind his back.

Thanks! :)

dr bronner's. [02 Jul 2006|01:42pm]
Hello. I need some help with getting some Dr Bronner's soap here to Perth, Australia. Generally I love peppermint scents but dishing out almost US$20 for KBoy liquid shampoo is INSANE. Plus, I don't have a credit card so I can't order from drbronners.com.

So, I was wondering if any of you are lovely enough to mail me some Dr Bronner's soap. I'll be able to pay via paypal! (I don't trust eBay too much because the shipping is crazy. US$10 for a $4 bar of soap and $3 for each additional bar.)

And so this isn't text only, 2 pictures are under the cut. And no, I don't have dreads. (YET!)
and under the cut we goCollapse )

I bleached the front of my hair and a couple of dreads and I think it's better than that nasty orange color, ha. Plus, having blonde-ish hair is so summery!

Read more...Collapse )

I am not sure if people here want this, but I am posting it either way!

Lots, and lots of pics behind the cut! Sorry about the flash, but it's freaking hot here, so I had to close the curtains which makes my room dark.

Dread wraps, the way I learned as a little girl :)Collapse )

Now don't say that didn't help you, just lie and say you like it ;) If you missed something, tell me, I want to learn more stuff like that!

And because I want EVERYBODY to know;

(let's hope he feels the same about me ;) will you pray for me? Or at least think of me?)

dread colis that i made [02 Jul 2006|05:55pm]
Hi everyone! I know I just posted but I made some dread coils (sorta like the ones on KNottyboy) and I wanted to know what y'all think! They arn't as high quality as other ones...but maybe if i had better wire or something? I virtually know nothing about wire/metal working.

And so without further ado, here are the wire dread coils I threw together. I was inspired by a song off of Stadium Arcadium called "Wet Sand."
The line goes--
I saw you there so unaware; those hummingbirds all in your hairCollapse )

Yes, I wantd to know if anyone on here would be interested in buying or trading for these. I can make custom ones with anysort of bead and charm, color wire, ect. I like making them but I only have so many dreads to adorn. So yes, please let me know if you are interested!!!
