Okay, so my best buddy etdemie has been bugging me to take pictures of her dreads and post them here for months... and I am finally getting around to it. They're (I think) eight months old, in hair that was originally tight TIGHT ringlet curls. She went to Hawaii for a month and a half in early summer, and came back with them three times as tight and half as long. (Thank YOU ocean water!)

Annnyway, here they are:

Montreal? Bordeaux? [14 Sep 2006|12:42pm]
Ahoy my dredlocked companions!

Are there any of you beautiful people currently living in Montreal? It looks like I may be spending a morning and afternoon there in early october, and I'd love to meet some of you.

Also, I'm moving to Bordeaux. Any dredheads there? Anybody want to hook a brother up with un job?

Kay, guys. I'm sure most of you couldn't care less, but I need some outside opinions about what color to go.

For reference, I currently look like thisCollapse )

Something to let you know is that I feel, although I haven't been told outright, that my hair color is holding me back from promotions at work. I love having bright haircolors, but I also need to be making more money than I currently am. So I am especially having a hard time with this decision, because I'm so conflicted. Ahh. Vote.

Poll #820924 What should I do with my hair?

What color should I dye my hair?

Purple/blue/pink.

LICE LICE LICE LICE LICE [14 Sep 2006|04:59pm]
Today I found out that I have lice and I was wondering if any of you on here has had it and got rid of it a different way than cutting your hiar off or combing it out and then using treatment. Im just really sad because I planned on having my hair for years and years and Ive only had it for a year and almost 3 months..

It's been two months... [14 Sep 2006|09:18pm]
It's been two months since I last brushed my hair. I've posted pictures of my 'work in progress' a month and two months ago (http://community.livejournal.com/get_up_dread_up/3172953.html and http://community.livejournal.com/get_up_dread_up/3109203.html, respectively). And here's my latest update :)

I guess some of you are a bit tired of posts with pictures of hair that doesn't actually look like dreads, but there are few reasons why I feel I should post my pictures anyway. First, the pictures might help other people who are thinking about dreading their hair naturally. Second, if I manage to post every month for a year or a year and a half, it will prove that all hair (since I've been told that all other hair types than mine dread even faster) will dread eventually if you stop brushing it.

So here are the pictures. Collapse )
