hairy mclairy! and controlling maniacs.

well, this month the oldest of my dreads are 5 months old...the youngest only 2 - i have a lot of hair (when i say a lot of hair...my pony tail was average to thick, but each strand of hair was very fine and silky. according to my sister, this made sectioning a right pain in the arse) so we did the back combing in bits. and then, when it was all done, i decided to dread the loose hair i had thought i wanted originally. so, a few weeks later, we dreaded more.

so, i thought i'd post some pics!

ok so I was browsing ye olde interwebs today and came across Mountain Ocean Hair Maximum shampoo.
its described as "Rosemary and camomile uncover the natural highlights of your hair. The active protein system uses the highest quality wheat protein sized to be most compatible with human hair. This shampoo gently cleans without removing natural conditioners. The clean preservative system assures freshness and is designed to rinse out completely. Even with daily use there is no residual build-up. Hair Maximum Shampoo is color safe and combats the drying effects of chlorine. pH 5.5"

it says also that it pioneered the use of apple cider vinegar in shampoo. o rly?

I'm intrigued and I have some of that same brand of lotion and I love it to death (www.skintrip.com by the way)so I'm just wondering if anyone has used this stuff. does it smell good? does it work?

usually I use peppermint doc bronners, and I have a gallon jug of it (im not kidding) so I'm not really desperate for something new, but a change is always nice.

ummm, so this isnt completely boring...Collapse )
