Oh, what a tangled web we weave! [06 Dec 2006|01:20am]
[ mood | calm ]

Hello lovelies,
Just got some recent pics of my hair and thought I would post some up here. This is probably the longest I've gone without dying it since I left my natural (dirty blonde/light brown) color for dark brown. At one point, it was almost black. Now it's faded a lot and looks like the front especially is fading back to my natural color which actually looks kinda cool. Even though they're 5 1/2 months, I've been doing them naturally and so they're progressing at their own speed and although the ones underneath are pretty tight, the top ones are loose (esp. since I have to wear my hair in a bun all week for work) and so I think if I want to dye it again, I will prob have to wait a while yet. Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Love you all :)

P.S. NYC meetup? yay or nay?
round and round and round we goCollapse )

Okay, I'm planning on dreading my hair either this weekend coming up, or the following one. I'll be doing it in the form of backcombing, with use of wax(only a bit, though... mostly to attempt to tame some frizziness), and I had a question. I want to do it this weekend(I'm going on vacation soon, and the longer I give them to tighten before it, the better they'll look, which means my family won't hate me forever) but there's one issue. In gym that week, we're doing swimming. I know swimming can loosen them up, but to what extent? My hair knots pretty well, so I think they'll hold up nicely in general, but I'm not too sure when you add swimming into the mix. I was thinking I'd rinse them out everyday I was done, to get rid of the chlorine, but is there anything else I could do to stop them from loosening at all? Or is it just a really bad idea in general? I'd be willing to wait, but only if the swimming would loosen them up a lot.

7 months (some in the back about 16 or 17 months I think). No wax (the flash makes it look greasy in some pictures) or something like that. I also started my friends dreads some months ago, and they're comming along great. I'll post pictures if I manage to steal her head and take some:)

start wearing purple, wearing purple
start wearing purple for me now!

say bonjour to my first dread!!! adkhglfldfxkhg excited.Collapse )

i am a seamstress & costumer, and i work at the university theater. i'm running wardrobe on a production of W;t right now (so sad. i love that show) and i work until midnight friday night. i'm planning on getting up early saturday morning, putting on my jeans and a comfortable shirt, sitting, meditating for an hour while the sun comes up, taking a walk in the snow (!!!!! SNOW!), coming home and sewing in the extenders.

i've wanted dreads since i was in tenth grade of high school (i'm a sophomore in college right now). i've had more dreams than i can count since then where i had dreads, long black ones. i've just always dreamt about it.

this is my first dream. my first dinky, wispy, knotty dream, materializing right there.

i'm stoked. :) have a beautiful wednesday, everyone!
