[ mood | anxious ]

Okay, I'm new to this community. I couldn't find anything in memories on this so I'll ask here. Looking for somone who might be able to help me with getting dreads started or point me in the direction of someone who can. I'm in the Northwest Florida/Southern Alabama area. If anyone can or knows of anyone who can I'd appreciate it. Thanks Bunches!!!!

I've been meaning to make a timeline of my hair for a really really long time, but haven't had the time or the energy, nor the pictures all on one computer.

but here is my attempt at a seven year timeline of my dreaded journey. this is really picture heavy. i hope you all enjoy!

A few questions. [13 Mar 2007|07:55pm]
Hey, I have a few questions. This past weekend I dipped my dreads in the ocean and decided I wouldn't wash (or rinse) them afterwards because I know that it is good for them. I washed my hair for the first time tonight and more hair came out then ever. I'm wondering if I should actually start rining after going in the ocean... I'm thinking it overly dried out my hair. Any opinions on this?

Also, I got some bar soap at Trader Joes and it says it's "Triple Milled Soap 100% Pure Vegetable Enriched with Shea Butter." I'm wonder if these ingedients should not go in dreads: sodium palmate, sodium palm kernelate, fragrance, glcerin... it just smells so good I really want to use it!!! Would this cause build-up and other nastyness?

And a picture of my dreadsCollapse )
Thanks for any help.
