if anybody in the nyc area is having issues with dreadlock maintenance, i have a friend who is willing to do dread maintenance for about half of what a professional would charge. she started my dreads and has been helping me with my hair all along, and she's worked on her boyfriend's dreadlocks as well. she doesn't use wax or anything like that.
she just did an amaaazing job of knotting in all my crazily loose hair, with just a chrochet hook and her hands. unfortunately i do not have any before and after pictures to share but next time i'll remember to take 'em.
if anybody is interested, you can email her at mabcreature [at] gmail.com (just make sure to write "dreadlock maintenance" in the subject).

and so this is not text-only, here is a recent picture of the craziness that is my head:

i love how my dreads are all different lengths and widths and sizes. they each kinda have their own personality.

So, I have a quick question about felting needles.
I finally found them at Joann Fabrics, but the only ones they had were really thin.
Well, I bought them anyway and used them on my dreads but they don't seem to be doing much.

Has anyone else used the really thin, small kind? And if they have...am I missing something? Haha.

Thanks lol
