I had this fist sized hair ball left over from when I combed out my 5-6mo dreads out before and yesterday I pulled it apart and made three dreads out of it. There's enough left for one more too I think. I decided to extend a few dreads with them and was curious as to how, then I was all, "Duh, GUDU memories!" So I went and found this link in there,
I followed the supa easy picture instructions and attached the dread extension. Easy.

Hey, new member here. I've always loved the look of dreads, but never really thought about getting them for myself for some reason. Now I'm so glad I found this community, otherwise I probably would have followed the instructions on Knotty Boy and and tried to find vegan wax. After reading the memories for a few days, my boyfriend xhuxus and I decided to give it a try. Neither of us has any experience with dreads, nor do we know anyone with them, so it was an adventure. And now, five days later, they're finally done.

Howdy! First post because I've been lurking for a little bit and have been contemplating dreads. I've finally decided that I want them so I'm going to sally's tomorrow to get everything I need. Metal comb, rubber bands, beeswax, hair clips, and residue free soap. I don't have the money to get them professionally so I'm going to do them myself, with some help of course! I was wondering if anyone had any pointers or suggestions to start them out nicely. I don't want to mess the back combing up... Even though it looks easy enough, I feel I may mess *something* up.

BTW, this is my hair now, and hopefully I'll have a dread picture soon:

Also, I know I don't want thick dreads... I know I want them a little thin, but not too thin.
