So I made a post two weeks ago:
http://community.livejournal.com/get_up_dread_up/4260840.html#cutid1
It was about my boyface dumping me and I said something to Lish about how he thought he might be making a mistake but he would need a few weeks to cool off first. Guess who regrets the break up now?
Boyface wants to get back together. I so called it.

So its not text only:

my wifey, haha. She had a full head like two years ago, but now she just has two little knubby fatties on the back of her head. Thats one. Theyre about four months. She said she'll do the rest of her head someday when she isnt lazy. Shes going to clean mine up for me one of these days. I adore her. Dont mind her squinty eyes. We were drunk.

[ mood | new ]

Hello everyone!

After nearly nine years of staring longingly at various dreadlocked individuals, I've made the decision to go for it. Unfortunately, this decision has come in the wake of a fresh haircut which has left most of my hair significantly shorter than it's ever been (and I do so love the haircut, but dreads have been a dream nine years in the making!) I've essentially resigned myself to waiting a few months before attempting to dread my hair.

What I'm working with nowCollapse )

I do have one major question, though. It's sort of covered in the memories, but I was hoping for a little more detail (if that's okay! If not, please disregard this.)

I lead a really active lifestyle. I work out daily, bellydance, bike, and do a lot of hiking and whatnot. So, I sweat a lot. How exactly will I be able to deal with this? Is dreading my hair still going to be a possibility? That's the only thing I'm really worried about.

Thanks a lot, and I'm so happy to be here (and so inspired by all your beautiful locks!)

i feel so crafty it should be a crime! i just made my first tubular peyote stitch bead and im so proud.

this is the page i learned it from, i think its a really good video if you have no idea what your doing, its not for a bead, but you get the main idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4XqWuoDCeI

dread styles [17 Feb 2008|08:00pm]

i like to play around with my dreads and different styles, but they've only recently gotten long enough to do anything really fun. normally i just pull them back in the same, boring old hairstyle.
