I was wondering...are there any dreadies in the Philly area? I'm not new, but I've only been here a few months [like...about 10]. I haven't really explored Center City, or anywhere else for that fact, and I was wondering are there a few of you guys in the area that would like to join up & give a n00b a lil tour?
Just a thought I had while sitting here in class. I'm bored w/ NE Philly and I want to meet people as well.
is anyone here about to going to see brett anderson's show in london the 7 june?
or maybe muse in dublin the 13 aug?
would be nice to see your lovely faces ;)
and here is me little
My how they have changed! Since I last posted they have shrunk, bumped, thickened and had their ends turned up, and i love them!
Its funny, when i was starting them, and they were all skinny and crazy, i never imagined them looking like this, It just goes to show, dont base ideas of what your dreads will look like on other peoples pictures and experiances!!
and thats it for now. boy and i are off to strangecreek music festival this weekend. will post wonderful pictures of camping and dancing and hula hooping and whatnot later!!!
I was just having a look through the memories for something totally different and came across 'flipping roots' and the damage it does. I read all the entries in the memories but am still really concerned because I had no idea that flipping them was a bad thing to do because the guy who did them, who had dreads for 5 years himself, told me that that was what I was meant to do as my dreads grew. I know this sounds seriously dumb and I apologise but I really need help here. I don't think my roots are that bad, it hadn't occured to me that there was anything wrong with what I was doing because there was no cause for concern but can I ask that some kind soul please explain exactly what the damage is that I've caused by doing this and how I can reverse the badness and what I should do as of now?! (Sorry for not having a picture and big run on sentences, Im hurried by the shock of how dumb I've been!!!) Thank you all for any help. x
