17 Months.

Wow. I can't believe it's been so long.
I'll probably take some real/better photos when I hit the year and a half mark?
Life has been overwhelmingly busy lately, but I do take the time to look at all of your photos.

Pony rides $10

3 months, going on 4 November 14th.
It's been fun, these past 3 months. I'm still jobless, and not in school, but at least my hair's maturing nicely! I'm really happy with my dreadies. I get both negative and positive comments. The negative ones I brush off. I don't expect everyone to love 'em. And besides, FUCK THE HATERS. The positive comments I hold dear to my heart. I appreciate all the sweet things people have to say.

I hope all you lovely dreaded people enjoy my post. :)

hello hello, 2.5 month update

my babies are growing! they're still toddlers though, stumbling around and fighting with each other and losing hairs. however, unlike human children, they aren't very photogenic and usually hide under headbands. can't wait til they're long enough for a ponytail! and yes i know the dangers of binding young dreads in a tight ponytail, i will avoid that!

My lovely friend Elli (ellibobelli) finished backcombing my hair today. I officially have a full head of dreads. I got my first dread 4 or 5 months ago just to see how I liked it, and I fell in love. It's now my button dread. Then about a month ago she dreaded the under layer of my hair and I thought that would be it, but showering became a hassle because I need to wash my undreaded hair without getting the rest of my hair too wet. So inspired by all the beautiful people in this community I decided to get the rest of my hair dreaded. I have 24 dreads right now, but who knows, that might change. I go to a private high school with a rule again extreme hairstyles, but fuck it.

Well I went to the natural marketplace in my town and got this shampoo that I've never heard mentioned before and was wondering if you guys have heard of/used it... It's called Theraneem Organix. Its supposed to be really good for relieving itching and apparently the ingredient "neem" has all the same properties as tea tree. Sounded good to me, haven't used it yet though. I  Also thought I'd mention (im sure this is in the memories!)  but I have a TON of loose hairs right now. It's only day 5 or 4 I forgot but I don't know if this is something to worry about at this point. I'm just going to leave it to see if it  connects at some point . For good measure here is a picture of my favorite head scarf.

And I'm also going tp pick through the memories do not fret!

Beanie, fail. Headband-thing, win!

Ok, so I bought a loom at Hobby Lobby a few days ago and today I attempted to make a beanie. I stress attempted. This is as far as I got before I realized that I had screwed it up. It turned out about 1.5 times bigger than the loom itself...very interesting.. So anyways, I threw it on my head and it works great! I just put it around my head like a headband then twisted the excess around the bulk of my hair.
