5 month birthday

I can't belive it's been 5 months already. My hair has been thickening and taking on a life of its own this past month, and im really enjoying how bizarre each new day seems. The only time I get bothered is when trying to sleep, sometimes it's like they're just stabbing my head and getting comfortable seems impossible.

Anyway on to a few pics of how they are looking lately.

glad i didnt die before i met you.

I've been reading through the memories here. Seems to be my new companion on every smoke break at work. I sure wish I'd found this place BEFORE I found KB and DHHQ. *sigh* I have to say thanks though, because since I've been hanging out here, I've thouroughly changed my ways. I've found over the past few weeks that the less I eff with my head, the more tolerable it becomes. The more picking and prodding and attempting to *make* my hair look "right" I did only made me more frustrated and started making my head look like shit. Since I've left it to its own thing, everything is progressing nicely. I just hope the babehs are young enough to bounce back from wax and rebackcombing and rubber bands and root flipping. Oy. There needs to be a memory section on "how to fix commercial dread bullshit" - though I have a feeling it would probably just tell me to lay off. :) Those rubber band dents of straight hair better cure themselves! As long as nothing falls out, I'm good.

The point? Thanks again, lj community!

I did the bang chop. Not sure how I feel about it yet...and have only mastered posting one pic at a time from the phone. Dayam I need a computer! So, I'll just tack the first bang chop on here. They're a little shorter now. I hope you can see something in the crappy light...and apologies for ginormous size...if that so happens to be the case!
Happy Friday, all.

aye yo.

hi everyone! i'm a returning member of gudu on a different lj. not sure if any of you remember me, but i had a natural set that was bright blood red :) i don't have any pictures because of a new computadoraaa. i unfortunately combed them out a while back, due to stupid reasons...

anywho. i'm a fresh new me, and i wanted to start them again. but i wanted to go the backcombing route this time around. so i bought a flea comb and rubberbands....and oh my god. i'm horrible at sectioning. it's a lot harder than it looks. i have really thick hair, and bad lighting in my room...not a good combo haha. i read the memories about parting your hair into 2 sections, but i don't want a part. what's the best/easiest(if there is any) way to start sectioning to not have a part down the middle?

oh, and this is me :)
