Dandruff and Asprin

As summer approaches, the combination of heavy hair+sweat usually sparks a deluge of dandruff for me. Has anyone tried using asprin as a dandruff "cure"? I use the term cure loosely because as far as I know, there's no real cure for it besides a healthy scalp. I tried it recently, and its AMAZING.

To reduce dandruff/get rid of it, crush two aspirin tablets and mix them with one serving of shampoo. Apply the mixture to your hair and leave it for about two minutes, so it can settle on your scalp. Rinse the mixture off then shampoo your hair once more. After the final rinse, the flakes are either gone or lessened. Its amazing and really works!

I checked dandruff in the memories and didnt see this, so feel free to flog me if its already there :D

Sandy dreads!

Anyone know a good way to get sand out of dreads? I've been to the beach six times in six days and I'm washed and showered and scrubbed and rubbed the living hell out of dreads but the sand is still there :(
Do I need a deep clean? They're only 9 months, so I thought it'd be a little early for that. Blah.
