Has Your Happiness Been Scientifically Proven?

we have many voices in this community advocating backcombing, but not many for the rip and twist method. my baby dreads have benefited GREATLY with this method so i wanted to share. they are a little over a month old now.

these are my dreadlettes on october 25th, one month old.

they werent doing so well. most werent very knotty and none of them had any shape whatsoever. they were positioned oddly due to the angle at which i back combed them. on the whole, not the best scenario. i didnt really like where it was going. on november 1st, i experimented with the rip and twist method, giving me locks like this:

can you see the improvement? they have shape, length, no odd angles, and with this method the knots hold their own and don't untangle in the night, as it did before. just goes to show i shouldnt have been stuck in my backcombing ways. to anyone else out there beginning to dread up with hair under six inches, rip, i say! rip and twist!
