I think I underestimated how many people would end up turning up for the event, all I can say is that it was a good job it was Download and numerous stag do's on this weekend, otherwise it could very well have turned into an impromptu street party! As it was, my poor little house was groaning at the seams.......
In a way I'm gald so many people turned up, it turned what could have been quite a sad affair into something a lot more fun. My girlfriend did the trimming, and she said that she felt quite sad being the one to do the deed.
There was the trimming to the half way point, at which I had comedy dread mullet (a hairstyle, I quite liked tbh ;)). Eventually the whole lot came off, to a round of applause from all present, and then it was off to bic the remaining stubble away, so there was no trace of the old hair left.
In a way, I'm very sad to see them go, I wasn't really ready to say goodbye to them, but better this than the alternative, and at least I got to do something positive for a good cause in the process! In a way I suppose it's the end of one journey and the beginning of another as I start the treatment tomorrow. With any luck in 6 - 8 months I'll be all mended and ready to grow a new set of dreads.
