'ello.
i am new here and thought i should introduce me and my lovely locks.
we go way back and have seen many colours and scissors along the way.
these dreads are my second ones, made in the spring of 2002.
my first dreads streched my patience only one year, from fall 2000 to summer of 2001.
all pics you are about to see are of my current locks,
made by 2 of my friends. it's all my own hair.

so my name is anna, and these are my dreads. nice to meet you.

This is the very first pic I could find of my dreads. During that point they had been in almost about a year already I think and I had by myself weaved those 2 extras in.

Soon after that I decided to dye my hair black, open a few dreads and create bangs, which I am yet to lose. I still had those 2 weaved parts in.

My bangs grew and my dreads got even tighter in the process.

I dyed them red...

which faded pretty fast.

I just let them be and the colour faded into this pretty little number.

I dyed them again - sigh - and tried to grow out my bangs.

But didn't have much luck - the bangs are still there and the colour faded fast.

I cutted a lot of length from my dreads and dyed them back to black.

I have a habit of cutting them from the back and keeping them long in the front - sort of an A-line.

Here we are red again.

And here we are fading the red again... you pretty much have figured out that I would enjoy a red colour on my hair, aye? And that the colour disagrees...

Miraculous orange, I loved it.

And this is where I am at now.

I am trying to decide whether to keep them or to open them. I think I could manage to tear them all open, but would I just want to dread them up again in 2 weeks? It's been ages since I have had "normal hair", so it could be fun.

What do you think? And congratulations if you made it trough :DD
