Hello, I just had a couple of random questions, and I figured it's about time I got around to asking them.

1) I have been desperately trying to let my hair dread itself. For seriously. I haven't touched the locks in the way of brushing in.... for almost a year now. I get little dreads in the back, but within days they un-knot themselves. Boo. Should I just hunker down and backcomb the tops and let the rest of the lock catch up? Or will I be GRRR MAD that I gave up? Advice? :)

2) And this may seem completely ridiculous... BUT I have an 8-month old, who has a ickle teeny baby dread, and I know would have more if i stopped brush the ba-jesus out of her hair every morning. How horrible would it be to have a tiny baby with dreads? Its what her hair is doing naturally, and who am I to stop it (only her mother, I know)? I just think it would be a horrendous pain to take care of, and I wouldn't want to actually sit down and dread her hair, meaning that only the back part that she lies on at night would have them... any ideas? I was just wondering what the opinions on this was when I noticed the tiny buggar sticking out of her hair this evening. For reference, here is the tiny cranium in question (i tried to get a good hair picture, I should have got a picture of the lock before I put her to bed, fail!).

Thanks.
