Tonight I was bored. I decided hey, I have three very small and thin locks that aren't locking. I know, I know...time and patience. I just wanted a bit thicker one. So I decided to brush them out.
See, I thought all was good because my locks are only umm 3 almost 4 months. I, being a dumby, used the HORRIBLE wax product from DH. Now look GUDU, the only reason I used this crap is because I was highly UNEDUCATED about dreadlocks. I am posting this so that everyone that maybe is using WAX, and hopefully that is little or NONE, can and WILL stop. I used wax for about a month and a half until I found this site, thank gosh. So It wasn't TOOOO bad. As I began brushing the three locks out it was okay, then I got to the middle more slightly locked part. It was extremely HARD, yet gooey. I assure you this is the wax and I washed my hair properly and rinsed extremely good. I had a horrible time getting passed the middle and the top. I didn't even feel like backcombing the hair all together. So fellow dreadheads, I have a few pictures. PLEASEEEEEE please please, think twice before using wax. AS I said, if only I found this site before I rushed my dumb self into locks without proper knowledge....
^^^I HAD STARTED TO CONDITION AND WASH IT WAY MORE SO IT WAS A TAD BETTER.
I am now thinking of brushing more out slowly and starting WAX FREE. =o))
