For those of you who don't know/remember me, I had a nice chunky set of dreads the first time around. But, like so many people, I fell victim to KnottyBoy/DreadHeadHQ and thought that the only way to start "proper" dreads was to use a metric crapton of residue-filled products. Needless to say, my poor ill-fated dreads lasted only a year before I combed them out. There was STILL wax in them at the time. Eeew. So this second set has been started with a bastardized combination of twist-and-rip and backcombing with no products used at all. I'm super optimistic about the outcome.
I only have one pic of the finished product so far. I'm happier about them than I look, I promise. Stupid recent breakup makes it difficult to smile for photos. Anywho, here's my brand new baby dreadies, fresh from being washed.
And yes, that IS a blacklight reactive unicorn poster in the background. Cause I'm that awesome.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!! <3 So glad to be back.
