With three months of my journey, I began to form what I dubbed "The Monster" dread. His section was far too big comparatively, and went from the back of my head up to the top middle, so I cut him at the 3 month mark to release the tension that had formed, and to hopefully make him smaller down the way, as well as soon having a new dread in the top middle of my head that would be more comfortable.
Well, in hindsight cutting him might have been the part of the problem (besides his bad initial sectioning) but he has now turned into SUPER MONSTER and has a lot of weight.
Here he is in all his glory:
so as you can see, he is really awkward and rather uncomfortable at times because of his position. The good news is that his roots do seem to be dreading, although they are a bit flat/square right now, there's about a half inch of dreaded hair above the major knot, and then the rest is still loose. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to do? I've considered just slicing through the "jut" of the knot that goes towards the right, so he would be thinner and lay better, but I'm not sure if a lot of unraveling would happen, or what. so, yeah, I'd appreciate some insight on him!
And here are some more pictures just for the hell of it.
I graduated from college last month with a Bachelors in Political Science and a Bachelors in Philosophy & Religious Studies, so this is my very proud "I'M AN ALUMNI!" photo, haha.
Thank you! <3
