ok so lets say that most parents dislike dreads...right?
well both my parents are complete opposites, my mum did my dreads for me, helps maintain them. But on the other hand, my dad's very old fashioned...he thinks girls should have long hair, wear skirts, be polite, not pick their nose and definatley should not have dreads.
I've had them for about a year now, and recently i took a couple out at the fron so i could have a fringe/bangs, just for something a little different, so which my dad thought i was taking them out.

this afternoon i came down and showed him a few things which i'd bout for my holiday, a dress which he was surpirsed at (as i'm not one for showing off my legs) and a few other bits and bobs, so the conversation quickly went onto...
Dad- "Why the bloodyhell have you still got that shit on your head?"
Me- "shutup, i've just got up, of course, my fringe's all over the place"
D- "No, i don't mean that"......"You know, it makes you look like a tramp, dont know what ya mum thinks of it though"
M-"Well she did 'em, plus i like them"
D- "Well what about when you want to dress up, the hair just lets you down"
M- "Well atleast i've not gone grey, or got a receading hair-line"

this happens pretty much everyday, my mum tells me i shouldn't get rid of them for anyone, or even for a job as she knows how clean they are and that i wash them pretty often. The place where i work doesn't mind them (i work in a pub) and it seems to be a conversation started, and many drunken people want to feel them or play with them.....but overall, i've no intention to get rid of them!
